There is no doubt that ancient Greece bequeathed us democracy. We hear voices criticizing Greek democracy along the lines of: What kind of democracy is it where slaves and women were not allowed to vote? What an excellent grasp of ancient history! I would add another counter-argument of mine: What kind of democracy is it if they were elected without ID cards? It’s as if the internet should have been used back then to make it easier to count (i.e. manipulate) voters’ votes ….

May the critics of democracy come up with a better solution to tame the human vices of politicians. Take such a constitutional monarchy modeled on ancient Rome. I already have a proposal for the office of European Emperor: Ursula Caligula 2. The problem of the oppression of women has already been solved. Slaves vote. The third advantage is that instead of donkeys, we would have a smarter animal – the horse – in parliament.

Caligula on his favorite horse Incitatus.
According to the book “I Claudius” by Robert Graves, Caligula made the horse a senator.

Ursula Caligula 2 has shown us what a real democracy should look like. The people vote, the monsters agree. If the people are too immature to vote for “our” candidate – as in most countries – then we make a correction. In what way? We had an example in Romania in December. One Orban is too much for Ursula Caligula anyway! Can we do that? Yes! You just have to maintain ‘real’ democracy. This is the latest version of a constantly evolving democracy. There was people democracy, parliamentary democracy, direct democracy and others, and now there is real democracy.

The topic of defending democracy was taken up by Austria’s Report24 in an article on Tuesday: The EU’s anti-democratic coup in Romania is a warning to all member states. Source.

“Europe is now a dictatorship, Romania is under tyranny!” – was Calin Georgescu’s comment on the EU’s unprecedented interference in the Romanian elections. The annulment of the election and the arrest of the election winner was followed by his exclusion from the new elections: The EU is “now quite openly assuming the right to intervene in electoral processes and the formation of governments and to exert influence on individual politicians in order to correct undesirable results”, denounces FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl. His demand: the right to free elections must be restored immediately – and not just for the Romanian population.

Romania is fighting against EU despotism. Thousands of people have taken to the streets in Bucharest to protest against this “democracy”.

The crowd in Bucharest chants “traitor” in front of the Constitutional Court after the Romanian Constitutional Court rejected Georgescu’s appeal.
Romania’s most popular politician will not be able to run in the presidential elections in May 2025.
AUR party leader (AUR supported the independent Georgescu) George Simion called an emergency meeting of the party leadership to discuss further measures;
Most likely, AUR will nominate its candidate in the coming days, who, if registered, should automatically be the contender for victory.

The streets of Bucharest are flooded… the media report that 1000 people are there… Counting is clearly not their strong point!

The true face of democracy.
