Not all journalists have sold out to USAID. Jonathan Cook is an award-winning British journalist. He lived in Nazareth, Israel, for 20 years. He returned to the UK in 2021. On Thursday he published an article on antiwar.com: Thirty years of lies about the Middle East keep getting back at US. An excellent source to expand our knowledge of the authentic mechanisms of Middle East politics.
Many of you probably believe that Israel has occupied the Palestinian territories since 1948. And that is indeed the case. However, the situation in the Middle East is much more complex. You don’t have to study Middle East politics to find out important, reliable information about the policies of Israel and its allies behind the scenes. However, such a study in no way guarantees that one will learn the truth about these policies. However, taking 15 minutes to read this article is enough to refresh your knowledge of the history of the last three decades, a history that concerns a state located in occupied Palestine.
The story: Did you believe it in 2003 when they told you that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq that could destroy Europe in minutes? That Iraq’s leader, Saddam Hussein, was the new Hitler, and that he had allied with al-Qaeda to destroy the Twin Towers? And that for those reasons the US and UK had no choice but to invade Iraq pre-emptively, even if the United Nations refused to authorize the attack.
The reality: For years, Iraq had been under severe sanctions following Saddam Hussein’s foolhardy decision to invade Kuwait, and upset the regional order in the Gulf designed to keep the oil flowing to the West. The US responded with its own show of military force, decimating the Iraqi army. The policy through the 1990s had been one of containment, including a sanctions regime estimated to have killed at least half a million Iraqi children – a price the then-US secretary of state Madeline Albright famously said was “worth it”.

And they don’t even have a clue that they don’t understand.

It’s not that the media has been lying to us for the last five years – they always have. In the last five years, they have synchronized these lies to speak with one and only one real voice. They’ve been preparing for this for two hundred years – since the beginning of spreading opinions with a little addition of well-chosen information that appears in the headlines as sensational news.

Proponents of a holocaust for the Palestinians use the argument that Israel has the right to defend itself against Hamas terror! The problem is not the right to defend itself – the problem is that Israel invited Hamas to do so, enabled the attack, fired on its own civilian population and financed the operation. In retaliation, the occupying state of Palestine is implementing Third Reich-style plans to exterminate the Palestinian people who stand in the way of Israel’s “freedom” in the occupied territories. Why are civilians being killed and Hamas not weakened at all? Because Hamas is a tool for Israel to support this holocaust.

a dead Palestinian is brought back to life at the sound of an anti-aircraft siren.
Working in the propaganda industry can be dangerous!
I showed this last movie – even though it contradicts what I wrote – to demonstrate that all sides in this conflict use lies to achieve their goals. We don’t need artificial non-combatants to demonstrate the Holocaust – there are plenty of real ones. It’s just the laziness of journalists that sometimes leads to comical results.
