A wrong question, the right answer is: both money and independence. Like the world, at least since money came into existence, anyone who offers any amount always sets conditions. If he does not set them, it means that he is preparing some kind of trap.
However, if the price of the empty money printed by the European Central Bank is the country’s priceless sovereignty, then we are dealing with fraud. Most EU members have long forgotten their independence. For many members of the Parliament of the Collective Farm Union, this is an abstract and meaningless concept. However, there was one EU candidate country that said NO! Little Georgia, located on the border between Europe and Asia on the eastern coast of the Black Sea, has passed a transparency law that requires non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to publish their financial sources.
So-called “civil society groups” that receive more than 20 percent of their funding from abroad must now disclose their funding. Because it presumably represents “the interests of a foreign power”. Quote from an article published yesterday on tkp.at Georgia has passed a transparency law – source.
Why are defenders of “Western values” so outraged by the order to disclose these NGOs to their client? If the US and EU are planning sanctions against Georgia, it must have hit them hard. And that’s exactly what happened. Because of the previously hidden funding of these organizations by George Soros or other globalists, states that are completely dependent on them could be claimed to be sovereign. The publication of financial documents for NGOs is not limited to Georgia. Public information is also available in other countries where these foreign intelligence services spread their evil work.
A propaganda machine was set in motion with traditional accusations against Georgia. If Putin is the villain – no other option is allowed on our television – then he was certainly the one who invented this law and forced the Georgian parliament to pass it. According to the Yankees, Georgia is too small and too weak to make such a leap on its own!
The voting process itself was interesting. The entire opposition – 62 MPs abstained from voting, 84 MPs voted in favor. For only 4 out of 150 MPs, “Western values” were more important than the independence of their own country.
The EU Commissioner’s threat did not help. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobachidze published his content on Facebook. I find it difficult to imagine Brussels bureaucrats as perpetrators of the attack on the president – there are no corresponding forms. However, silent involvement, such as financial support for the planned assassination, cannot be ruled out.
What’s next? In my opinion, NGOs that are at risk of having their principals exposed will simply withdraw from Georgia. This is a lesser evil for them than admitting whom they serve so faithfully.
