In order not to hurt religious feelings, a ban on putting up a Christmas tree was introduced in the Hamburg kindergarten. Source. As part of reciprocity and maintaining religious tolerance, I would suggest covering mosques and towers in Islamic countries from which imams shout messages to believers that are incomprehensible to us. That could harm the religious feelings of tourists, right?
I couldn’t say I was in an Islamic mosque if I didn’t follow the customs there, such as taking off my shoes and conforming to the rules. It is this difference in customs that attracts cosmopolitan travelers. I expect the same from visitors from distant countries when they come to us: mutual tolerance and respect for customs and customs.
However, the story of the Christmas tree in the Hamburg kindergarten does not end there. The owner of a garden center committed a crime: he put up a decorated Christmas tree and – what’s worse – he also gave gifts to the children at the kindergarten! On Thursday morning, however, there was a decorated Christmas tree in front of the daycare center – even with gifts for which the tree’s donors had apparently pooled money. Florian Schröder, who owns a plant shop, put up the tree. However, the daycare management was anything but happy: they removed the tree and filed a criminal complaint – for trespassing.
