In May, it will be 19 years since the US began bombing the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
A million Iraqis were killed. A war fueled by lies about weapons of mass destruction that had not even been sought since this country was conquered.
What sanctions were imposed on the apparent attacker? Perhaps the tribunal in The Hague did something about it?
Former US President who ordered aggression against Iraq, George W. Bush, laid flowers at a church (in the US) in May 2022 to commemorate the victims of the war in Ukraine and called for war criminals to be punished. His presidency resulted in 10 wars that killed 6 million people and no one mentioned any sanctions against these criminals.
Where were those who are shouting about Russian crimes in Ukraine today? Where were the media articles condemning aggression? To this day, most of us do not even know what the Iraqi flag looks like, let alone how it is displayed in public places and in the media as a sign of support for the victims. Does anyone remember at least some demonstrations in the streets to oppose the slaughter of the innocent victims of these bombs?
