The presidential decree signed on Thursday to dissolve the Ministry of Education is causing fierce controversy among supporters of the old policy of promoting green myths in the education system.
How so! Given that the American education system ranks near the bottom of the world’s industrialized countries, the question arises as to whether the agency that regulates the education system should be shut down. Well, the department is responsible—but how does it do it? Documents show that the illiteracy rate in the United States fell from 20% to 0.6% between 1870 and 1979. Source. Then Jimi Carter established the Department of Education to make education available to the poorer segments of American society.
An assumption worth supporting. However, 38 years after President Carter’s decision, the illiteracy rate in the United States was higher than it had been in 1870.
Four in five U.S. adults (79 percent) have English literacy skills sufficient to complete tasks that require comparing and contrasting information, paraphrasing, or making low-level inferences—literacy skills at level 2 or above in PIAAC (OECD 2013). In contrast, one in five U.S. adults (21 percent) has difficulty completing these tasks. Source.
People at the intellectual level of proponents of hundreds of genders are screaming that we should redouble our efforts and spend $500 billion, because $268 billion isn’t enough to raise educational standards. For them, the effectiveness of investments is an incomprehensible concept. No wonder, since the world is divided between men, women, and a handful of mentally ill deviants who spread such nonsense. No, I’m not homophobic. I don’t care about other people’s erotic interests. As long as they don’t hurt anyone.
In a statement today, the national president of the American Federation of Government Employees, Everett Kelley, said Trump’s “directive to eliminate this small but mighty agency would destroy our education system and devastate future generations of students.” Source. This is the argument of the supposedly educated. They lack the courage to investigate the activities of this American office. Its primary task was to provide financial assistance to needy students. Trump has transferred these activities to the Treasury Department.
I’m not saying anything new when I say that public media doesn’t inform its audience, but educates them. And here the Ministry of Truth is fulfilling its duty to standardize the training program for obedient sheep.
Since then, such channels as NBC, CBS, ABC… have disappeared.
