Recently released documents by America First Legal show evidence of international cooperation between the US and UK governments in creating legal and technological tools – such as artificial intelligence-based censorship systems – to automatically flag and suppress content in real time. These automated systems can identify and silence dissent without human oversight, shrinking the space for free speech around the world. Through unelected bodies such as the International Criminal Court (ICC), the United Nations (UN) and the World Health Organization (WHO), governments enact draconian laws that can criminalize free speech around the world.
Not all information provided in the mainstream media is disinformation. There is also propaganda and manipulation. This is how a malicious person who is not well-disposed towards today’s official media would describe it. The most important problem in the fight against disinformation is the qualification of the information itself. Who would do that? In the past, this question was left – although not always – to the recipient himself.
On Friday, September 13, 2024, the American platform America First Legal published an article: America First Legal Obtains New Internal CDC Documents Revealing Foreign Collusion in Biden-Harris Government Censorship Regime.
When I compare the level of censorship today with that of the Polish People’s Republic, I see that we do not have preventive censorship today. When I write this article, I do not need to obtain the office’s consent to publish it. So we have freedom! However, it should be noted that back then there was no Internet and a relatively simple, not too expensive way to appear in public space. All you have to do is buy a domain (mine is world-scam.com), rent space on the server and you can go online! Is that really so?
Well, not really, I still have to get people to read my texts and that is the most difficult obstacle to overcome. Because of the content of my blog, I cannot count on Google’s help. The first condition is to write in an interesting, not necessarily sensational way. The second condition is not to bore readers with texts that are too long. That is why some people feel a certain sense of lack after reading a text that is usually short.
