Government representative of Slovakia declares: “There was no pandemic”

The government commissioner to investigate corona management in Slovakia has opposed the WHO pandemic agreement on behalf of his country. Now he is telling a committee of inquiry that he will soon present evidence that a pandemic never existed.

“I am a very fact- and data-oriented person,” said Peter Kotlár on Wednesday in the Slovak government’s extraordinary health committee. According to local media, the opposition party convened the committee because Slovakia was the only country in the world that distanced itself from the WHO's new pandemic agreement - under the leadership of Kotlár. The government representative for the investigation into the Corona measures explained why he acted this way with the following words: “At the end of my investigation, which I will present in September, there is clear evidence of this, including with regard to the significance of the pandemic, the incidence and other measurable parameters “that there was no pandemic in Slovakia”.

The 45-year-old sports doctor and orthopedic surgeon was appointed by Prime Minister Robert Fico in January to “assess the legality, economic efficiency, purpose and effectiveness of the measures approved in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020-22 and to analyze”. Fico had already stated back then that the basic rights and freedoms of the Slovak population were not adequately protected in pandemic management. Kotlár should now ensure that “similar failures of the state” do not happen again.

The doctor said back then that he wanted to investigate whether the Corona measures were a “crime against humanity” that threatened the health of the population – and that is exactly what he assumes. He also stated that he wanted to examine the role of the media as well as that of politics and that of public figures “who were involved in propaganda”. Kotlár also wanted to examine the composition of the corona vaccines in more detail.

Peter Kotlár has been decried as a “corona denier” since he said on television that “even as a health worker” he had never been vaccinated “as part of the mandatory vaccinations for health workers”. His six children are also not vaccinated. He made similar, clearly vaccine-skeptical statements on his YouTube channel “TV Slovan”, which he runs together with the Minister of Culture Martina Šimkovičová.

The opposition Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) called Kotlár a conspirator at the time - and now, in the investigative committee, people are calling for his resignation. MP František Majerský said, according to Pravda , that Kotlár is a "disinformer" who sees "chemtrails" as the biggest threat to the world. The KDH fundamentally does not agree that such a person even has a mandate.

Slovakia's Health Minister Zuzana Dolinková said a day after the investigative committee that it was inadmissible to question the pandemic - it was disrespectful to the survivors of the "20,000 victims of the pandemic". But they also insist “that the specific responsibility of the people who led the fight against Covid in Slovakia be investigated by the law enforcement authorities”.
