The “Last Generation Austria” announced its dissolution on Tuesday. The criminal group says goodbye with accusations and absurd accusations. For Austrians, who have repeatedly fallen victim to the crimes of so-called activists, this decision should be a reason to celebrate.
“We no longer see any prospects for success,” says a press release from the self-proclaimed climate saviors. From the organization's point of view, the Austrian government is to blame for this, as it has "shown complete incompetence in the last two years", and on the other hand it is the population that has "decided to replace fossil fuels".
“We recognize that Austria wants to remain ignorant of fossil fuels and accepts that it is partly responsible for the deaths of billions of people. Society has failed. This makes us incredibly sad,” the activists wrote. This attribution of blame can hardly be surpassed in terms of ridiculousness, as Austria only has a population of around 9 million.
The group boasts of having allegedly politicized more people than ever before and planted seeds for a peaceful uprising. According to their own statement, they also assume that they are no longer the only ones who are no longer willing to tolerate the government's crimes. Now we want to make room so that something new can emerge. Does this mean that the organization will re-emerge under a new name once funding is in place?
The brave climate rescuers claim to have continued “despite violence, death threats, arrests and imprisonment, hatred or fines amounting to tens of thousands of euros.” They also list their various forms of protest, quite a few of which constitute criminal offenses. Accordingly, the statement announces that the remaining funds will be used to cover the costs of “criminalization” and ongoing investigations. The donation channels would also remain open, as high fines and high legal costs are still outstanding.
With the words: “We remain angry. The resistance continues.” and the announcement that it will continue to inform the public about “the development of state repression,” the press release ends.
Whether this is a final farewell remains to be seen. The dissolution of the organization should be a great reason for joy, especially for drivers. The disruptive actions of climate terrorists are not just annoying, but sometimes extremely dangerous. It was clear from the start that damage to property and attacks on cultural assets would never have a positive effect. If the “climate gluers” have managed to do one thing, it is to show the population the madness of the climate activists and the policies they want to justify. It remains to be seen whether the Germans will soon be redeemed from the last generation. So far the organization has denied this.
